From an anonymous Seeker: "A few weeks ago, Dr. Hal predicted that I would accept a job at Microsoft, for the money. I turned down the job and will continue to reside in the Mission district... is there a limerick in there somewhere?"Answer:
Let me say that the purpose of a prophecy is to provide at least a fighting chance to avoid the predicted outcome, though both mythology and history have repeatedly shown that this is very difficult to do. So far, however, you are not (yet) at Microsoft. Pursuant to this:
When Microsoft wanted my labor,
Which would mean that I would be its neighbor,
I found out I detest
The Pacific Northwest,
And it only looked better on paper.
...or,
Dr. Hal's several weeks-old prediction
Turned my Microsoft job into fiction.
When I turned down the bait
I decided my fate--
Now the Mission is my jurisdiction.
